Cycling

We are ideally situated at Gwarllwyn between the Halfway and  Crychan forests, popular with mountain bikers.  We are on the edge of The Brecon National Park too.  Marked trail  rides are abundant in the area and there is something to suit all levels of rider.

Road riders  who want to stick to the lanes will find a wide network of scenic routes.  There are many horses in the area, please read this link so that bike riders and horse riders may share the same safely.

Further afield, we are within easy reach of the  well-known mountain biking areas of the Usk Reservoir and the Brechfa Forest,  making Gwarllwyn an ideal base.

We have secure  storage facilities  for your bikes,  drying facilities for wet gear and areas to wash  off your bikes,  plus a comfortable well-lit  workshop where you can undertake any running repairs.

Please note.  The Crychan forest holds organised events such as mountain biking, rallying, horse rides, carriage driving and fell running from time to time.   Please check their events page. On a very few occasions each year parts of the forest may be closed off for special events.
