Brecon Beacons National Park
We are right on the edge of the world famous Brecon Beacons National park – which covers some 500 square miles of stunning landscape.
Drive just a few miles from Gwarllwyn and you can find yourself in wild and rugged moorland – with all the space and tranquility you could ever wish for and only a few rugged mountain sheep and shaggy ponies for company.
The park is of course popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders, but many other activities are also available. See The Brecon National Park and many other websites for more information.
Not far from Sennybridge in The National Park You will find The National Showcaves Centre For Wales (Dan Yr Ogof). These caves were dicovered in 1912 by two local farmers who squeezed through a small gap in the hillside. The caves are the most breathtaking Showcaves complex in Northern Europe. For those travelling with children it features one of the world’s largest dinosaur parks. At the animal farm you will be able to meet Shire horses, Llamas, Shetland ponies, rabbits, chipmunks and many more critters. A great family day out.
